Spools of Sewing Thread

We used 1,800 spools of sewing thread to create a handmade portrait of one of our favourite silver screen stars, Marilyn Monroe. This iconic photo of the star has found itself referenced in pop culture across the globe throughout a variety of mediums. The piece is embellished with spools of metallic thread for added texture and depth. Custom colours, subject matter and sizes are available upon request.
