We tinted metallic aluminum foil and affixed it to a hand-painted background before beginning to recreate this iconic group photo of the Beatles from 1967’s ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lovely Hearts Club Band’. The rich texture of the finished artwork is visible through each member’s jacket, then emphasized against the bright backdrop of the ‘submarine yellow’ finish.
